For the past 15 years, photography has played an important role in my life. It not only allows me to capture precious and fleeting moments, to play and have fun, but it also allows me to educate in a creative way. Inspiring others to live a more intentional life is a large aspect of my work.
Last year, I made a conscious decision to stop purchasing fast fashion - I could no longer sit by and see our planet, and the people and creatures on it, harmed by those practices. I now thrift and buy vintage clothing, refashion some of those items, sew new garments and purchase new ethically made and sourced pieces. As someone who is nostalgic for the meticulously handcrafted elegance of the past, my wardrobe, style and home are vintage inspired, and my work reflects that. I want to share my adventures, experiences and desire for the return to traditional craftsmanship to motivate others to slow down and make conscious decisions, which can ultimately work towards saving our beautiful planet earth.
